West Coast Alternate Cook Book - Volumes One and Two
West Coast Alternate is a school designed to work with students with FASD. The inspiration for this cookbook came from a cooking class. When one of the students wondered if they would remember all the recipes from the classes, the group thought it would be a great idea to put a cookbook together with images to help. This is a look-and-cook cookbook. It has written text as well as images to help guide the beginner chef. Students and staff from West Coast Alternate created the cookbook.
Contents
Cookbook: recipes; information and fact sheets. Recipes are in large font so are very reader-friendly; recipes are sequential and detailed.
DVD: videos and recipes.

The cookbook also comes with a DVD that features videos with a narration of “how to” cook the recipes from the cookbook; each video clip is 2 to 4 minutes. The DVD also has many of the recipes.
